The Experience
Over the last 20 years, I have photographed hundreds of newborns and my work is usually recognized by the beautiful lighting, flawless skin tones, and meticulous posing perfected in every image. Along with years of experience safely posing & handling newborns, I have also received several awards of excellence for my newborn work. Like choosing a photographer for a wedding, you get just one opportunity to capture this extraordinary moment in time – the investment is priceless and I’d be honored to share this incredible moment with you.
I aim to provide a truly extraordinary newborn experience from the time you book your session to the final delivery of your images. Every newborn session includes full access to my extensive collection of props & newborn accessories. Prior to your session we will chat about your style & pose preferences and throughout the session I will do all the posing & soothing needed, leaving parents free to relax and enjoy some quiet time (or maybe even sneak in a nap).
Newborn sessions are scheduled weekday mornings when baby is between 7-14 days old. I do book a limited number of newborn sessions each month to ensure a timely turnaround and the best possible client experience, so I recommend reserving your session date as soon as possible – IT’S NEVER TOO EARLY!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When should I schedule my session?
You’re welcome to reserve your date at any time, however I recommends booking your session for sure once you reach the 2nd trimester. I often book up 3-4 weeks in advance, so please call BEFORE your little one arrives to guarantee a spot. A tentative session time will be reserved based upon your due date.

Experience. Quality. Reputation. There are many considerations beyond price to think about when choosing your newborn photographer. The art of newborn photography is much more than just clicking a button—it really is a fine art—which you will have a greater appreciation for after your session. ?? From preparing the setups for the session, hours of safely handling your baby, meticulous posing to ensure baby looks relaxed & comfortable to knowledge of lighting and posing to ensure everyone looks their best and editing the images to perfection. Price is an important consideration, however, newborn sessions are hard work and usually the least expensive photographer is also the least experienced. Knowing you will LOVE your images is 100% worth the investment!
Is one week too soon? What if I’m not feeling great?
To catch your little one at their sleepiest, the ideal time for newborn sessions is days 7–14. As babies hit that 2-week milestone, they start to wake up to the world and require a bit more soothing to get into those sweet, tucked-in positions. My goal is to make this the easiest part of your week. I take the lead on everything from the moment you walk in. If you aren’t feeling 100% yet, please know you are in a judgment-free zone. Moms are required to do very little during the session except feed babe (if nursing), other than that you will be able to relax and hang out.—stay in your leggings, grab a snack, and let me do the work. If you can get the baby here, I’ll handle everything else from there.
How long will the session last?
Sessions are tailored to the individual newborn. The average session lasts about 2.5-3 hours…however, sessions can last longer depending on the needs of your little one. Plenty of time is allowed for feeding and soothing. *Newborn mini sessions are limited to 1 hour.
Should I bring a special outfit for baby?
Most newborn images are done without clothing. I will be in touch before the session to go over everything you need to know before the session.
Can you recreate these images I found on Pinterest?
If you have a specific image in mind, let’s chat about what draws you to it. I won’t, however, re-create a list of 10 Pinterest images—I focus on artistic quality over ‘recreating’ a long list of screenshots.
