I take public health seriously and always strive to provide the safest environment for my clients. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be additional policies in place regarding your session until further notice. First and foremost, if you feel sick or have been in contact with anyone who has been sick, PLEASE RESCHEDULE. I appreciate your cooperation and understanding. Sessions may be rescheduled/delayed at the photographer’s sole discretion as this situation evolves and more information becomes available.
Hello everyone! I hope summer has been treating you well. With the warm summer days we’ve been having, it’s hard to imagine, but it’s time to reserve your fall family photo session! It’s so important to capture your family at every stage – the adorable baby squish, first steps, awkward smiles and even the wonky teeth (personally my fave!).
This carousel horse was a total impulse buy almost 2 years ago! I was on my way home from a weekend road trip to meet a photographer friend and happened upon it in a small town antique shop window. After driving around the block a few times, contemplating whether or not my husband would kill me if I brought another prop home, I ventured inside. I ended up finding out it was just a display piece and wasn’t actually for sale, but the owner said she’d be willing to sell it to me for $50. SOLD! The original horse had been made into a fully wired floor lamp, and was 2 colors – brown & bright turquoise (eeeek!), but nothing a little paint couldn’t fix, right?! Little did I know the amount of work it would actually take getting it photo ready!
I apologize in advance for what must be my longest blog post ever. ;) Growing up in Minnesota and having all of my family still there means we spend a lot of time back and forth throughout the year – mostly in the summer months. Last summer I made a few fun trips for Minnesota summer mini sessions. The location was a farm place just outside of my small hometown. IT WAS PERFECT! That barn.
