baby cash turns one! | Lincoln Nebraska Baby Photographer

About a year ago I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family for the first time. I was so excited to photograph the ever so sweet Cash again, and was equally honored they decided to make the drive down from Minnesota and make a weekend out of it. Yay! He made my job SO ridiculously easy, I mean, how could you not with a face as beautiful as his?!? I could have easily photographed him for hours! Can you say HEART BREAKER?

Enjoy some of my faves from his session and a couple peeks from his newborn photos too. Yep…still as cute as ever!

This family was such a joy to work with!

In a phone conversation before the session, Mom tells me that for some reason Lily doesn’t like getting her picture taken lately.
I assure mom that we will have lots of fun and my sessions are not typical and/or boring so I was sure she would do fine.
About 10 minutes into the session Lily asks, “How much longer? How many more photos?”
A few minutes later I think she realized we really were going to have a good time.
We talked about boys (gross!), and bugs (even grosser!), and what it was like being eight.
(I think she was surprised that I knew the mannerisms of an eight year old all too well. My oldest daughter is nine.)
Throughout it all, I snapped a lot of images.
Towards the end of the session, Lily even had some of her own poses she wanted to try.
And as we were saying goodbye, she asks, “When will I see you again?”

Oh Lily….you’re such a sweet girl. A BEAUTIFUL sweet girl. I’m so glad you had fun. And I hope I get to see you again!

oh so lovely miss ava | Lincoln Nebraska Child Photographer

Hi everyone! *waves* Yep, I’m still around! The kids are back in school and hopefully fall is right around the corner! Anyone else wishing it would come sooner rather than later? I know I am. I am dreaming of cooler temps, golden foliage, lots of cozy layers, and everything else that comes with fall….a little FOOTBALL anyone?? I’ve rescheduled quite a few sessions because of the unbearable heat, it’s just no fun for anyone…and everyone knows fun is what I’m all about! I’ve had a few sessions here and there, but many clients have opted to wait a bit until it’s a little less steamy out there, which is entirely understandable.

Miss Ava and I were able to meet up on a gorgeous day…the light was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and Miss Ava is just oh so lovely! A little shy and unsure at first, but I think I had won her over by the end of the session. And that always makes me smile.

Big sister Ella snuck in for a couple! Aren’t they adorable?!?! They’ll be adding a new baby sister to their family very soon! Can’t wait to meet her!
