Availability update!!

Fall sessions are filling up quickly...weekend sessions are entirely booked through mid-November! We still have some remaining weekday evening sessions available on Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday. You can check current availability through the calendar on the website. I am generally booked 3-4 weeks in advance.

Boys will be boys!

Last weekend I met up with these guys in Omaha for a fun session at Elmwood Park.  They definitely kept me on my toes and were such troopers as the weather was SO hot and humid…and it was a morning session no less! :)  I think we were all dripping with sweat by the end of the session.  Thanks for hanging in there guys!!

Here are a few of my faves:

Fashion Friday

I know, I know…I’m a few days late this week.  Chalk it up to a busy week!! :)  I have gotten a few requests to put together a few outfits for older kids, so that’s what I have for you this week.  Both of these outfits can be found at Old Navy…for kiddos 5 and older.

It’s okay to have a little fun with your outfits….Rock-n-Roll styles are sure to be a huge hit this year!

For the little ladies…a fun denim blazer and some stylish pink accessories. I actually chose this outfit for a Fresh Faces session I have coming up this week…so stay tuned for those photos later this week.

If you really like layers, but aren’t sure how to implement them or what looks good together, here’s a tip.  If you have a jacket on top that’s denim (like the one shown here), choose pants that are something other than denim, think white, khaki, olive green, brown, etc.  and vice versa if you have a khaki jacket, choose a different color bottom for more visual interest and a less matchy-matchy look. :)  Sometimes you CAN get away with denim on top and bottom, but you definitely DO NOT want them to be the same wash…that is SO last year!! ;)

Stunning mommy to be…

I had SO much fun at this session!!  It was the first of, hopefully many, outdoor maternity sessions.  I love it when clients totally trust my creativity and just go with the flow.  Mindy was so easy going and just up for anything…I would probably be up for anything too if I looked like this at 39 weeks!  :)  (Yep, and you read that right…her due date was actually yesterday! ) I was sooo excited she allowed me to share these artistic maternity images here.  Isn’t she just gorgeous?

Mindy and Andrew…a sincere “thank you” for going along with all my crazy ideas and being so sweet and easy to work with, especially in 100 degree weather.  I had a wonderful time with you guys and can’t wait to meet that baby girl.  I have no doubt she will be beautiful.  Crossing my fingers for you that it’s sooner rather than later! ;)

‘lil pixie :)

I photographed this little lady last year out at Pioneer’s Park, so this time we decided to head down to the Haymarket for more of an urban look!  When she arrived, I don’t think she was too keen on the picture idea, however, once she saw my petti skirt, she couldn’t wait to put it on!

I thought this series made the perfect storyboard…one of my favorite things about 2 year olds is their adorable expressions…

Fashion Friday

I’ve been hearing from clients already telling me how much they loved last weeks “fashion friday”, so thank you for the positive feedback.  Some of you hadn’t heard of Mini Boden before and I’m sure your wallets will be much lighter after visiting their site! :)  I can never resist either!!  If you missed last weeks “Fashion Friday”, you can check it out here.

This week we’ll feature some ideas from GAP.  Can I tell you just how much I LOVE this store???   :)

The minute I saw the “Batik Chic” collection in stores, I think my heart skipped a beat!  Actually, I photographed a client wearing one of the dresses and made a bee line to the store on the way home from the session.  ;) Choose the shoes that fit your style, and a few fun accessories always add a nice touch.  And what’s even better…..I believe this collection just went on sale!
