Another recent session. I am always blown away by the individuality of each newborn I photograph, their mannerisms are so evident even from just a few days old. Not to mention the different features, from the hair, to my personal favorite (their lips), and their itty bitty toes. How can anyone say “all newborns look the same”? Clearly, they have no idea what they are talking about…or maybe they don’t photograph several newborns a month…that could be it too!!

This is Miss Evie…she was completely perfect to me. I love, love, LOVE her lips!!!! And…no…she’s not frowning at me…just a little chunky…the best kind!

The baby boom has officially hit! I have nine, yep NINE newborns scheduled for the month of March. And…as luck would have it, they come in bunches!!

This little girlie did what every perfect model needs to do for her session…slept the entire time…I didn’t even see her eyes once the whole session. She was incredibly sweet and I wanted to pack her in my bag and take her home with me.

Well…..first of all….CONGRATULATIONS to our Fresh Faces winners! Our boy winner was #7, 5 month old Bennett…how incredibly cute is he? One of my favorite ages to photograph is 6-9 months, so I’m super excited. And #9, 6yo Kaylee was our girl winner! I LOVE her look and I already have some ideas…I’m a sucker for freckles…she’s a natural beauty!

Once again, a huge THANKS to anyone who entered. We had over 5,000 votes in the contest…that just floors me! We had votes from the west coast, east coast, and even China!!! Every child that entered was deserving, I wish everyone could win. This little lady was simply divine! It took a bit of work to get her to sleep, but I won out in the end. And…okay…I officially admit to my hat obsession…it’s a good thing my clients LOVE them!

I always think it’s going to slow down a bit in January, and it never does.  There always seems to be a baby boom in January and February.  I’ve been waiting for several newborns in January, and wouldn’t you know it, they all arrive at once!

This is little Killian…an Irish lad. His momma is the sister of one of my really good friends, and I was lucky to photograph him on day 4. He was such a doll…slept the entire 2.5 hours I was there! And big sister Emery is just cute as a button…she just adored her new baby!
