Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope you all were able to spend the day with those that are dearest to you. I enjoyed the day with family….now it’s back to work…nose to the grindstone.

I am so thankful for so many things in my life….my family…especially my husband who rearranges his life to make mine work (all with a smile on his face…well most days ). My girls….because they are the reason I do what I do. My friends…who are awesomely AWESOME! And last, but certainly not least….my clients….for entrusting me with the most special moments in your lives and for allowing me to do something I am so passionate about.

Last week I met this little lady. She wanted no part in sleeping the day of her session.

For the past 3 years, some photographer friends and I have scheduled a little get together to have a bit of “downtime” during our crazy busy season. We normally throw in a little networking, some brainstorming, and an educational day…add a dash of some drinks and a pinch of karaoke, and it’s always a recipe for a good time. This year we had about 15 people from a bunch of different states and a good time was had by all.

It’s great to catch up with friends, meet new ones, let our hair down a little bit, and come home feeling re-energized. To-do list….POOF!…Be gone!!!

This year while visiting, I photographed my good friend Kimberly Smoot and her family.
