So I’m officially back from vacation and playing some catch up! My family spent last week enjoying some down time, and visiting a photographer friend in Chicago. Not sure how much “down time” there actually was…downtown Chicago…with our combined 5 kids ages 7 and under was….ummmm…interesting to say the least! Getting back into the swing of things this week. Lots of sessions coming up as the summer HEAT WAVE is in full effect! Holy toledo has it been HOT these past few days!!

I photographed this lovely family before I left for Chicago, ironically they had relocated back to Nebraska after living in Chicago, and were also heading to Chicago for a visit the same week we went. Michaela and I actually graduated from high school together and reconnected through Facebook. I was so excited to work with them…I had seen pictures of Addie and how photogenic she was. I swear…I get the cutest clients around…LUCKY ME!!

Here are a few of my favorites from our session together. This first one is my absolute fave…Mom REALLY wanted a photo with the hat, but like most kids, Addie wanted NOTHING to do with the hat. The hat stayed on for exactly a nanosecond…maybe eve less…I didn’t know I had actually caught this until I downloaded my card. I LOVE those surprises!!

I loved all these purple flowers that were blooming (another unexpected surprise)…

This little lady just finished her Bebe Plan with me! I just can’t believe she’s already one….I NEVER can….time flies by waaaaaaaaaaay too fast! I just love her…even though she didn’t love me. Haha!! We had to call it a day on our first session (she wasn’t sure about me OR that big black square in front of my face), but ended up meeting again with big sis in tow and she warmed up to me. I love, LOVE, LOVE, some of these….totally HER! I just want to kiss on those cheeks all day.
