I’m so super excited to let everyone know I am in the process of finishing part of my basement for a studio area. It will be gorgeous with wood floors and endless possibilities. Can I get a Wooooohooooooooo?! I have lots of fun ideas for sessions, so I’m hoping this will allow me to expand my horizons a bit. :)
One of my goals this year was to spice things up a bit. I photograph SO many newborns over the course of the year, and I LOVE absolutely every single one, but sometimes I’m left wanting something just a bit more….that’s the artist side of my brain rearing it’s head! ;) I was so happy to meet up with this couple and their brand new babe to try out some of my new ideas. I love texture and color in images, it really adds so much interest and depth and I hope to incorporate more of that in my newborn work this year…well…all of my work actually, not just newborns.
So anywhooo…meet Ava….such a delicious little lady. She was 8 days and oh so adorable! Hope you don’t mind a super sneak peek. Thanks Evan and Angie for being so fabulous! :)

I absolutely adore the little pink hat with the flowers on it and was wondering if you might tell me where you got it. I have a baby girl of my own and would love to get one for her (or make it if I could find a pattern.)
