Little Miss Quinn….

I’m finally back from Seattle and getting settled again. I’m working on finishing up a few galleries that need to be posted and will be returning phone calls today and tomorrow!

Our trip was amazing, and the weather even allowed for some sun when we were there. We visited the Pike Place Market, the Experience the Music Project in Seattle Center, Alki Beach, rode the water taxi across the Puget Sound to downtown Seattle, and shopped around downtown (I finally had my very first trip to Nordstrom’s…yes…I know…. I live a sheltered Nebraska life :)). I was also lucky to second shoot a maternity session with my good friend and amazing photographer Shellie, which I’ll blog a few posts from now. Our model was just gorgeous…an Uma Thurman look-a-like.  It was a rare get-a-way for my husband and I, and the kids enjoyed staying with grandma for a few days…whether grandma enjoyed it is another story!! :)

Anyway…before my trip I had the pleasure of photographing Miss Quinn.  Look how cute she is!  Of course I’m partial to the blonde haired, blue eyed kiddos!! :) A funny story about Quinn I had never encountered before…the first time we attempted the session we found out she was terrified of my camera. She had no problem with me, would let me hold her and play with her, even sit really close, but every time I put my camera up to my face, she just sobbed. As soon as I took the camera away from my face, she was fine.  I felt so bad, but mom and I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. After about a half an hour we decided to call it quits and try another day (I felt like I was torturing the poor child every time I got my camera out). At the second session, things went much smoother. Quinn was still undecided about the camera ;), but I was able to catch a few sweet smiles.

Here are a few of my faves…
