My **OBSESSION** returns…

So, if you’ve been tuning into my blog since last season, you will remember my addiction to America’s Next Top Model (ANTM)! Well, last night was the premier of the 7th season. You might also remember, that 3 out of the last 4 years I’ve predicted the winner on the first episode. Last season I must have been off my game…neither of my 2 favorites stayed to the end…I still think Mollie Sue got robbed.

For those of you not familiar with ANTM it’s a reality show with 13 models competing for a modeling contract among other prizes. Each week the models participate in challenges and a photo shoot, a model is eliminated each week. If I’ve peaked your interest, visit www.cwtv.com to see all the models and choose your favorite!! Tune in Wednesday’s at 7pm, and you can catch a special encore Sunday evening, on the new CW channel.

I have to say…this year, no one really jumped out at me. I have 3 girls that I like (why is it that I always like the ones with the pixie haircuts??) So, here are my picks:

AJ
AGE: 20
OCCUPATION: STUDENT
LOCATION: SACRAMENTO, CA

CARIDEE
AGE: 21
OCCUPATION: PHOTOGRAPHER
LOCATION: FARGO, ND

MEGAN
AGE: 23
OCCUPATION: BARTENDER
LOCATION: SAN FRANCISCO, CA

For the first photo shoot of the season, the girls had to portray model stereotypes…

Caridee as the “Dumb Blonde”

Megan the “Diva with a dog”

And AJ the “Model who will do anything to get the job”

Out of these 3 girls, I think AJ is my favorite! She’s my pick to win it all!! Tune in next week, I think it’s my favorite episode where the girls get makeovers.

Taslim - Sarah, AJ is my pick too! She’s got a great face! And her “I don’t care” attitude reminds me of Adrienne

Anonymous - I actually tuned in for a bit of this so I could see what you were talking about — and I have a question.

Don’t two of the girls (stick-thin long straight boring hair and average looks) look a lot alike?

I may have tuned out for a bit, but when did models get jobs based on how shart their hip bones were instead of character you can see in photos?

I found you from Angela Coniglio’s page, btw. :)

Sweet little Lauren Olivia…

You all know how much I adore newborns, and this one was no exception! I can’t tell you what it is, I just love everything about them…the little grunts and groans, the newly dry skin, the way they curl up perfectly, the white little bumps on their noses, the teeny-tiny fingers and toes, I even love the belly button cord, and if they’re really fresh the hair on their little ears and back. BUT, what I especially love, is no matter what the age or size, no two newborn are ever the same. No image can ever be duplicated, because even at 5 days old they each have already developed their own mannerisms.

Miss Lauren was exactly 14 days old, and with parents just as sweet as can be, I had a fabulous time with this family, all 3 1/2 hours I spent there! :) The favorites:

I love it when they pose naturally…

My signature shot..If you’ve had me photograph your newborn, you have this shot (or a variation of it)…

Is Dr. Ebers your pediatrician?? If so, look for this 20×24 framed print in one of his patient rooms!

Wrapped up tight!

Lauren the Diva…;)

I just adore her sweet little lips…

Thanks Michele and James, I look forward to working with you in the future!

Simply Stated

It seems like school just started, but now’s the time to be thinking about holiday sessions and cards! I have several sessions booked for the fall already, so please contact me as soon as possible if you’re interested in a session to ensure availability!

As of now, I am completely booked for fall parties and have started a waiting list in the event of any cancellations. Every once in a while I might have a hostess unable to fill all her time slots, if you would like to be put on a list to be contacted if this is the case, please send me an email.

I’m excited to unveil a new line of “Simply Stated” holiday cards this year! Unlike the normal photo cards, these 5×7 (one-sided) cards are printed on the highest quality fine art watercolor paper, and are simply beautiful! With 12 designs to choose from, you’re sure to find one that truly showcases your image. (Cards of available in boxes of 20)

Here are a few of the samples:

Miss Sarah - Hi Lauren-
